My Passion For The World Is Expressed Through Art!
Kathy was educated in Winnipeg, Canada and lived in Europe, Mexico, Brazil and the United States, fully experiencing the incredible cultural differences of these countries.
Kathy started her painting career in 2000 while living in Mexico City under the direction of well known Colombian Artist, Maria Fernanda Carrasquilla. Following a move to Florida in 2003 she continued to study under acclaimed Venezuelan artist, Conchita Firqau.
Kathy brings to the canvas her mix of experiences of 3 continents. Her art hangs in Colombia, South Africa, Mexico, Canada and the United States. Kathy was a founding member of SOMI Fine Art Gallery in Flemington, NJ in 2012.Kathy served on the board and was a exhibiting Artist for 3 years. Kathy now resides in Venice, Florida.
Texture is a key to her work, allowing the canvas to come alive with personality, depth and strength. Her media include Oils, Mixed Media, Fusion and Gold Leaf. Her newest interest is the enhancement of photographs printed on canvas through oil or acrylic paint.
